You Know It’s Cold When The Dogs Pee Icicles

-7F, is what it was outside this morning. The windchill was in the negative 20′s. This is weather that we normally reserve for January and February. If it’s THIS cold in December, let’s hope it’s some sort of fluke, instead of a possible trend, plunging toward more freezing temperatures.

More freezing than this.

I’m sorry I saw that movie… the one where everything froze… even the air.. even the flag blowing in the breeze. “The Day After Tomorrow“, it was called. It gave me something to imagine what’s going to happen if it gets too much colder!

These are days when you don’t mind starting your car 10 minutes in advance before you get in it, and you stay up late into the night adding flannel sheets to your next online Christmas order.

It’s to be 28C here tomorrow Lisa.

Not exactly Christmassy but as I don’t like cold, I’ll accept it !

    Stay warm.

  2. Lisa says:

I hate cold, too. I just bought snowboots. I couldn’t stand my feet freezing anymore.

Eekkk…..You know running the car for long periods stationery when it’s cold damages the engine! :o / Don’t do it…walking when it’s bust will be colder :o (

  4. Lisa says:

Really? Almost everyone in the Frozen Tundra does this…. there are even automatic starters to do it from remote.

I would have to choose “working from home”. I’m not walking in this.

  5. Jennifer says:

Yeah… and people say Canada’s cold! hahaha it’s 21F here right now. That is with the windchill!!!

  6. Irishpisky says:

It’s all relative. When i was a child, we had no car, no central heating, no double-lined-Arctic-protective anorals, no foreign holidays for weekend-away breaks, no electric blankets….so we were cold a lot of the time……or am I being self-pitying?

  7. Lisa says:

I’m not sure I could have survived without warm snow boots and a decent coat. I hate being cold.

And here I was feeling sorry for myself because the high temperature was only in the 50′s today.
