I have ordered a new bed ensemble with the aid of Mr. Ian.
The motivation for the tree-like motif:
Ian loves trees

and, I just love branches 
I can’t wait for it to get here. I tried to get by with a less expensive zen-ish comforter, but we picked the tree theme out together and so it’s special. I know it’s “just a duvet”, but where you sleep and what you sleep in is a big deal. Feng shui is a good thing.
Still considering what to do with wall hangings/other decorations. Any ideas?
From the sounds of it you’ve really only one choice; plant a tree in the bedroom and it should match the duvet by the time Ian gets there !
True.. maybe if it was a fast-growing tree. I’m not sure the flat management would be thrilled, though.
You should do a collage of autumn leaves in a lovely dark wood frame. If you stick them all down and then paint over it all with UPVC glue, they’ll have a nice glaze and won’t go all funny.

I also think it would look nice with gold things… Not bright gold but antiqued gold and crackle glazed things…
