I don’t know about you, but I love animals so much that the really graphic commercials about people mistreating them makes me:
a. Turn the channel (almost in tears); or
b. Want to run down to the shelter to see what I can adopt. I’m sure I can fit a horse in my apartment. Anyone litter train a horse recently?
Why can’t the world consist of intelligent human beings who don’t abuse animals?
Because too many human beings aren’t intelligent!

Yes, the “animals are just an object” syndrome.
I prefer to change the channel. If I can’t, then I close my eyes and put my fingers in my ears. Periodically, I send money. I’m on about every animal rights mailing list.
