After calling the “support line” for Dell (which happens to be mostly for software support, by the way), being transferred twice and explaining my story and troubleshooting steps 3 times, I have a new power supply on the way.
The Dell Gold Support guy said, “And we’ll send a new one out with a tech to install it, is that right?”, at least realising that I probably did not actually need help, even though we seem to have paid for the super-spectacular bells-and-whistles support plan.

Erm. No. You may send someone over with a nice latte, though.

The good news is that one of the workers brought in a kitten. I love kittens. They don’t drool too much. :)

I think that you guys are misunderstanding and mixing two different requirements regarding the MAS and the iTunes Store.

Regarding the iTunes Store, you can authorize a total of five Macs or PCs at the same time to use your purchased iTunes media; music, videos and audiobooks.

The software from the MAS can be installed on every Mac that you own or have in your control, which may include Macs issued to you and immediate family members by their place of employment or an educational institution. You do not need an account on every one of the Macs to install the software that you purchase. You only need to sign into your MAS account at the moment of installation of the software on that Mac. You will also need to sign into your account to execute a software update for the software that you installed on that Mac.

Sunday is Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, step-dads, grandpa’s and people who are technically not dads, but elected to take on the role anyway. Go you!

So, we’re using the sleek new iPad 3G to navigate to a street across town to pick up TLK from Girl Scouts. It’s cool. The travel route is highlighted. A dot at the other end of the route is showing where our car is currently located. The dot moves pretty fast.

We approach the intersection close to where we are supposed to turn.

Me: “Oh! Turn here. This is 76th street”

Him: “How do you know?” (looking intently at the iPad)

Me: “I looked at the street sign”.

Come back to 3-D, honey. Come back.

My boyfriend was nice enough to finish setting up my domain for me tonight. I may be moving my blog in the near future, when we have time to get it sorted (it IS moving week, after all… office moving… not house moving.. and I’ll be working some long hours, supposedly). Anyone who’s been around me for awhile will be used to my blog address changing. Now that I have my own domain, you should be able to at least readily find me.

My job for office moving week is helping to pack up computers at the current facility and unpack them when they arrive at the new facility. The new facility is ULTRA nice.. it will make all the other non-profits jealous, I think. My cubicle is the best.. it’s on the aisle and has a glass wall facing the help desk. The surface areas and cabinets are all new-looking and I have a paper sorting thing on my wall.

I can’t wait. Three more days of working in the leaky building 1/2 hour from where I live to working in the nice building a few minutes from where I live. No more interstate driving.
